FAQs

What exactly is “GTM engineering” and what do you take ownership of?
We build and implement the systems layer that makes Marketing and Sales work end-to-end. That includes CRM architecture, lifecycle and stage design, pipeline + forecasting hygiene, lead and account routing, data model and field strategy, automation, integrations between core GTM tools, reporting foundations, and the operational workflows your teams run daily. In plain terms. If it touches HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or the automation that connects them, we can own it.
Which systems do you support and how deep is your expertise by platform?
We go deep on three core platforms: HubSpot, Salesforce, and Outreach. We are not generalists. We implement real-world architectures, not “admin tweaks”. We also work across common automation platforms to orchestrate workflows, sync logic, enrichment, routing triggers, alerts, handoffs, and lifecycle updates across your stack.
How do you engage day-to-day and how do we manage delivery?
Day-to-day delivery runs through Slack with clear owners, tight communication, and fast unblock paths. We operate against strict deliverable timelines with a defined delivery plan, plus regular meetings to keep stakeholders aligned, decisions moving, and dependencies cleared. You get transparency on what’s in-flight, what’s next, and what’s blocked. No “black box”.
What’s included. Are you a retainer or project-based?
Everything we do is project-based, not a retainer. Each engagement has a defined scope, deliverables, timeline, and acceptance criteria. If you need ongoing help after a project, we scope the next project based on the new priorities.
How do you define and measure success? What outcomes should we expect?
Success is measured by operational outcomes, not activity. Typical wins look like: faster lead response and routing, cleaner handoffs from Marketing to Sales, higher meeting conversion from existing demand, fewer “stuck” records, better pipeline stage consistency, reporting you can actually trust, and workflows that reduce manual admin for reps and marketers. We align on target outcomes up front, then design the system changes to produce them.
Can you work alongside our internal RevOps team without stepping on toes?
Yes. We plug in as an execution layer or specialist build team. We’re explicit about ownership: who approves system changes, who owns process design, who implements, who QA’s, and who signs off. This reduces internal thrash and prevents conflicting changes. If you already have strong RevOps leadership, we move faster because decisions are clearer.
What’s your onboarding process and time-to-value?
We start by aligning on the business goal, then translate it into system requirements. Next we review current state (objects, fields, lifecycle definitions, routing logic, Outreach sequences, automation rules), identify failure points, then produce a delivery plan with milestones. We typically prioritise early “fast impact” items first (routing, handoffs, automation bottlenecks) while building the foundation for larger improvements (data model, lifecycle, pipeline discipline).
How do you prioritise requests and manage competing stakeholders (Marketing vs Sales)?
We use a simple decision cadence in the regular meetings: prioritise by revenue impact, speed to implement, and risk. When stakeholders disagree, we force clarity on the primary metric (pipeline creation, conversion rate, sales cycle time, rep productivity) and pick the work that moves it. The output is a crisp backlog and a timeline that stays stable.
What do you need from us to be successful?
A single accountable sponsor, access to the right admins, and quick decisions. We also need clarity on definitions (lead stages, lifecycle, pipeline stages, routing rules) and who owns them internally. If those definitions are fuzzy, we’ll help structure them, but someone on your side needs to “hold the line” once agreed. GTM systems fail when definitions drift weekly.
How does pricing work for projects and what does a typical engagement look like?
Pricing is based on project scope and complexity. Most projects are structured around a defined set of deliverables (for example: routing rebuild + lifecycle redesign + Outreach workflow updates + automation clean-up) with a fixed timeline and clear acceptance criteria. If you want cost certainty, we can scope fixed-fee milestones. If the scope is likely to evolve, we can structure phased delivery so you stay in control of budget while still moving quickly.
